Key research facilities, infrastructure and equipment
High-speed optical transmission, digital pre/post compensation of fiber propagation effects and components impairments, system design. Infinera R&D can provide the availability if a state of the art equipped lab, with the possibility to run experiments over the Deutsche Telekom SASER national ring in Germany. This ring is 2040 km long (over two fibers)or doubled (4080 km) over single fiber.
Infinera Portugal will contribute to REAL-NET with its research and development capabilities, as well as its advanced computational resources for extensive network and system simulations.
